The convict in the anti-Sikh riots of 1984, Yashpal Singh was awarded the death penalty by the Patiala House court on Tuesday while Naresh Sherawat got life imprisonment. According to reports the court pronounced the death sentence for Yashpal and life for Naresh on the 1984 anti-Sikh riots which had shaken the secular fabric of the national capital.
