Karanataka’s 15 rebel Congress and JD(S) MLAs on Tuesday told the Supreme Court (SC) that the coalition government in the state was reduced to minority and the Assembly Speaker by not accepting their resignations was attempting to coerce them to vote in favour of the government during the trust vote.
Karnataka Assembly Speaker says the SC should allow him to take decision on the resignations and disqualification proceedings against the rebel MLAs.
A bench of the apex court, headed by Chief Justice of India, Ranjan Gogoi, was hearing the arguments and submissions from various parties in the case.
