Tezpur, Aug 8 (UNI) A Sukhoi 30 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed minutes after take off from the IAF Tezpur base in northern Assam, on Thursday evening. Both the pilots managed to eject before the crash, though the duo sustained injuries, official sources said here.The injured pilots have been rescued and rushed to hospital.The flight, on a routine training, crashed in a paddy field, within five km radius, after take off.The aircraft went up in flames in the accident. Fire tenders of the IAF and local Sonitpur district administration have been pressed into action to douse the flames.
