Thane mayor lists failures of Municipal Commissioner to Fadnavis

The city mayor Meenakshi Shinde complained to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis about the Municipal Commissioner Sanjeev Jaiswal listing his inaction and failures. The copies of the letter has been making rounds in the social media since Tuesday. Notably, immediately after the tuff in the civic body between the administration and the elected representatives the Commissioner took the matter seriously and wrote a letter to the Mayor asking her to call for a special general body meeting to discuss the no-confidence motion against him. It was at the last General body meet a group of corporators made a demand for the introduction of no-confidence motion on Jaiswal for his failures and adamant attitude.

In his letter to the Mayor which is marked as confidential and leaked to the media the commissioner has not only listed his achievements and said he was working to his fullest extent to meet the demands and civic facilities. He also said the corporators are putting a spike in the entire work of the administration and abused and made wild cat allegations against the administration.

Having completed more than four years and despite the fact that he has done lot of development work for the city and citizens the commissioner said such allegations on him has hurt him the most he said in his letter and asked the mayor to call for the meeting and decide on his no-confidence before the announcement of the model code of conduct for the elections.

The Mayor has also listed the insubordination and stated that the commissioner does not give much importance to the GB and also asks his officials not to to attend it. It is with vested interest he attends specific meetings with specific purpose. He also failed to attend the flag hoisting during January 26 and August 15, she pointed out .

In her letter , the mayor requested the CM to direct the Commissioner attend the general body meetings and desist from such an attitude towards the elected representatives.  (UNI)
