UCare, a preventive healthcare application has set a target to reach 1 lakh active users in the next one year, its Founder and Managing Director Vikrant Gugnani said on Thursday.
Talking to UNI here, Mr Vikrant said that the UCare aims to provide services for fitness, cardiac care and among others.
The Ucare platform consisting of a Fitbit, an ECG Machine, an App along with services like 24X7 Ambulances, discounted diagnostics, book a ride and Insurance cover for Rs 1 lakh, which was launched two months ago in Mumbai.
At present the company has 2,000 active users in the country including in Mumbai, Delhi- NCR, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Pune, he said, adding it is expecting to reach one lakh active users in next 12 months.
Claiming that the response was very good, Mr Vikrant said 10 Corporate offices also tied up with UCare. “Our aim is to expand its footprint in all state capitals by end of April this year “, he said and added that UCare services is available on subscription of Rs 1088 per month for one year plan and 899 per month for two year plan.
“The evolution of the nuclear family and hectic lifestyle led to the need for holistic preventive healthcare solutions to provide (self) care and assistance. As per a World Health Organisation (WHO) report, 25 percent of Indians may die of lifestyle diseases like cardiac ailments before they touch the age of 70. Therefore, preventive healthcare platforms have become the need of the hour to address this problem,” Mr Vikrant added
Stating that 30 people are working in the company, Mr Vikrant said that about USD half million had invested so far and looking for fund raise of USD two million for further expansion. (UNI)
