Shiv Sena chief Udhav Thakre, who is engaged in a tough political battle to become the first chief minister of the party in Maharashtra, is likely to postpone his proposed Ayodhya visit on November 24.
Party sources here on Monday said that Mr Thakre is busy in government formation in Maharashtra hence his proposed Ayodhya visit has been deferred.
Following the Supreme Court’s November 9 verdict on the disputed site, Mr Thakrey had announced to offer prayers at the Ram Lalla temple on November 24.
The Shiv Sena chief, after the SC verdict, had termed the day as a historic day for the country. He had also announced to meet BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani to thank him for his dedication for the Ram temple movement.
However, the relationship between BJP and SS turned sour over the government formation in Maharashtra and they parted ways.
