Amid a plethora of tweets around India’s highly acclaimed Chandayaan-2 Moon Mission and ‘challans’ everywhere in the nation for vehicles jumping signals and other traffic norms, the Nagpur Police in Maharashtra has posted a sincere request to Vikram Lander assuring it there would not be any fines slapped on it.
“Dear Vikram, Please respond. We are not going to challan you for breaking the signals!,” said a missive from the official Twitter handle of the Nagpur Police albeit in a lighter vein.
Past mid night Friday, India missed its date with moon and history by a whisker just about 2.1 km before the final touchdown on the lunar surface and by just 0.0006 per cent even as the entire nation united to back Indian Space Research Organisation’s Chandrayaan-2 mission and its never-say-die spirit.
On Sunday, ISRO chief K. Sivan had said that the space agency has found the location of Vikram Lander on moon surface but there has been no communication yet.
“We have found the location of Vikram Lander on lunar surface & orbiter has clicked a thermal image of Lander. But there is no communication yet,” he has said.(UNI)
