Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ) successfully organized its maiden Business Analytics Conclave 1.0, marking a significant milestone in the academic and professional landscape of Rajasthan. The pioneering event, hosted by the Department of Business Administration under the Faculty of Management, Commerce & Arts, was conducted in collaboration with a leading English daily and brought together top-tier industry experts, academicians, LinkedIn influencers, and aspiring students for an engaging day of discourse on the future of artificial intelligence, data analytics, and data-driven business design.

The primary objective of the conclave was to spotlight the transformative power of data analytics in redefining business strategies and decision-making processes. It provided a platform for thought leaders to examine the sweeping impact of data science across various industries and explore emerging trends that promise to reshape the global business environment.

The event commenced with a warm welcome by Professor Brajesh Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Management, Commerce & Arts. Pro-President of Manipal University Jaipur, Prof. Karunakar A. Kotegar, addressed the gathering, commending the department for its timely initiative. Drawing from his experience as a data scientist, Prof. Kotegar emphasized the pivotal role of data in business innovation, stressing the need for students to stay abreast of the rapidly evolving field of data analytics and artificial intelligence.

Gracing the event as the Chief Guest, Dr. Amandeep Kapoor (IPS), Director at the Central Detective Training Institute (CDTI), delivered a compelling address on the disruptions caused by technological asymmetries in the current era. Sharing real-world experiences from his career in law enforcement, Dr. Kapoor highlighted the importance of leveraging advanced technologies to bridge systemic gaps and address emerging challenges.

The inaugural session segued into dynamic panel discussions featuring twelve distinguished speakers from diverse sectors. Industry stalwarts like Gaurav Maheshwari (Vice President, Sohar International Bank, Oman), Monica Dubey (Head Brand, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance), Sudeep Penugonda (Sr. Product Manager, Data & AI, Thrillophilia), and others deliberated on the evolving landscape of AI, data analytics, and the future of data-driven decision-making.

The second segment of the conclave centred on critical issues concerning data privacy, security, and ethical responsibility. Rahul Bhatia (AVP, HSBC) underscored the importance of compliance and data security in corporate strategy. Deepak Kumar (Product Manager, Nagarro) advocated for a balanced, thoughtful approach to adopting new technologies, while Sandipan Karmakar (MNIT Jaipur) emphasized the need for validation in data-driven decisions to prevent operational chaos. Ishan Atrey (IIM Rohtak) spoke on the significance of responsive AI, highlighting privacy, accountability, and transparency as the cornerstones of responsible innovation.
