PM Modi to Visit France:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a crucial diplomatic visit to France and the United States, starting from 10 February, at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron and U.S. President Donald Trump.

Key Agendas in France

During his visit to France from 10 to 12 February, the Prime Minister will co-chair the AI Action Summit in Paris, a high-profile gathering of world leaders and global technology CEOs. The summit aims to foster international collaboration in artificial intelligence for innovation and public good in a secure and inclusive manner.

The visit will also include a bilateral meeting with President Macron to review the 2047 Horizon Roadmap for the India-France Strategic Partnership. Additionally, the leaders will travel to Marseille to inaugurate the first-ever Indian Consulate in France and visit the International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor project, where India is a key consortium member.

A special tribute will be paid to the Indian soldiers who lost their lives during World Wars I and II at the Mazargues War Cemetery.

Visit to the United States

Following his engagements in France, the Prime Minister will travel to the United States for a two-day visit at the invitation of President Donald Trump. This will be the first meeting between the two leaders since President Trump’s re-election and inauguration in January 2025.

The visit is expected to further strengthen the Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership between India and the United States. Discussions will focus on enhancing cooperation in technology, trade, defence, energy, and supply chain resilience.

The Prime Minister emphasized that this visit would build upon past successes and chart a new course for deeper collaboration between the two nations, working towards mutual prosperity and a better future for the world.

The high-level engagements in France and the United States mark a significant step in India’s global outreach, reinforcing strategic ties with two key international partners. The outcomes of these meetings are expected to have far-reaching implications for bilateral and multilateral cooperation in critical sectors.
