Bhubaneswar city Covid19 Observer visits 1929 call centre

Bhubaneswar: Covid Observer of Bhubaneswar City & Principal Secretary, Department of Water Resources Anu Garg along with the State Labour commissioner Dr. N. Thirumala Naik, today visited “1929”Call Centrefunctioning at Bhubaneswar Operations Centre (BOC) of the Bhubaneswar Smart City Limitedat BMC, Bhawani Mall, Saheed Nagar.

Garg interacted with staff regularly calling up those in home isolation, those who are receiving queries from people and the doctors on duty and advising people. During his visit BMC Commissioner Prem Chandra Choudhary also present. Garg also advised to increase the team strength so as to reduce waiting time further.

Towards contributing a major step for management of the COVID-19 pandemic in the city, the work of “1929 Call Centre’’ has been expedited.Where as to provide different services under Smart City while 36 numbers of DEOs along with doctors have been engaged here, in view of increasing no of Covid cases, Garg advised the officials to increase the team strength so that the people’s queries can be promptly attended to.

In the said Call Centre, DEOs and Doctors deployed here are giving advice to persons in home isolation, medicines are prescribed to the patients receiving calls by the doctors in Call Centre. Necessary information about Covid-19 , information about Ward Officers engaged for different wards for BMC are also being provided in the call centre. Covid Observer of Bhubaneswar also advised people to take assistance of the Call Centre “1929” to strengthen our fight against the pandemic.
