BHUBANESWAR: The three-day annual Mukteswar Odissi dance festival organized by the Department of Tourism concluded here on Saturday.
As per the custom, the evening commenced with choral music presentation by flutist and composer Srinibas Satapathy and his group.
City-based soloist Sonali Mohapatra performed Shiv Stutee as mangalacharan followed by an avinaya – Sajani Go Najani Pirati Jaha Kali – and concluded with Saranga pallavi.
The duet presentation that followed was staged by Sripunya Mohanty and Pratap Barik from city-based Odisha Dance Academy. They presented a pallavi set to raga Nagoballi and an avhinaya Su Mukha Gunakeshi.
Cuttack-based Soor Mandir troupe, led by Jyotsnarani Sahoo was featured as the concluding group presentation of the festival.
The group presented Vandana-Shivamaya followed by Geetabhinay – Rasanuraga and Keerti Kalabati pallavi.
Tourism and Culture Minister Jyoti Prakash Panigrahi lighted the ceremonial lamp of the evening among others.
