BHUBANESWAR: The State Government, on Friday, announced appointment of Suresh Chandra Mohapatra as the new Chief Secretary.
He will succeed Asit Kumar Tripathy who will retire on December 31.
Tripathy, who hails from Western Odisha district of Balangir, has been appointed as Chairperson of Western Odisha Development Council (WODC).
The new WODC chief will also act as the Principal Adviser to Chief Minister on matters of regional development, tourism, agribusiness and industry, the Government order
Pradeep Kumar Jena, Special Relief Commissioner and Additional Chief secretary has been appointed as the new Development Commissioner.
