HYDERABAD: After popular film personalities like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajnikanth, N T Rama Rao, M Karunanidhi and Khusboo, Bollywood actor turned philanthropist Sonu Sood now got a temple dedicated to him.
The temple has come up in Dubbatanda village of Siddipet district in Telangana state.
The temple has the bust of the actor put up on a pedestal while the banner behind reads “Real Hero of India, Sonu Sood”.
It was unveiled in the presence of its sculptor Madhusudhan Pal.
The villagers put on a tilak on the forehead of the bust performed aarti.
The villagers also raised slogans –Jai Ho Sonu Sood.
Majority of the participants in the unveiling ceremony were women.
“He is always there for anyone who needs him. He is like a god,” remarked several locals.
Reacting to reports about the temple constructed for him, Sonu Sood Tweeted, “Don’t deserve this. Humbled”.
The actor has been in the headlines for his help for the migrant people during the lock down caused due to sudden outbreak of the global pandemic.
