Ahmedabad International Flower Show: Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel inaugurated the much-anticipated Ahmedabad International Flower Show 2025 at the Sabarmati Riverfront. Accompanied by Health Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel and Minister of State for Cooperation Shri Jagdish Vishwakarma, the Chief Minister toured the vibrant exhibits, appreciating the intricate flower sculptures and innovative displays.
During the event, Shri Patel also launched the Tree Census and unveiled the Mission Three Million Trees Coffee Table Book, underscoring the state’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Other notable dignitaries included Ahmedabad Mayor Smt. Pratibha Jain, MLAs Smt. Darshana Vaghela, Shri Amit Shah, Shri Amit Thakar, and Shri Kaushik Jain, alongside Deputy Mayor Shri Jatin Patel, Standing Committee Chairman Shri Devang Dani, and Municipal Commissioner Shri M. Thennarasan.

This year’s flower show, dubbed a ‘Rangotsav’, celebrates the harmony between Indian culture and natural beauty. Featuring over 10 lakh flowers, 50+ species, and 30+ sculptures, the event highlights India’s rich biodiversity and cultural heritage while promoting environmental awareness.
The 2024 edition of the flower show attracted nearly 20 lakh visitors and earned a Guinness World Record for its 400-meter-long flower wall. With upgraded attractions this year, organizers expect an even larger turnout.
Zones Highlighting India’s Vision and Heritage
The flower show is divided into six themed zones:
- Zone 1: Celebrates India’s economic growth and vision for a sustainable future with displays such as elephants, lotuses, and the Konark Chakra.
- Zone 2: Showcases unity in diversity and sustainability with sculptures of tigers, peacocks, and flamingos.
- Zone 3: Focuses on climate change and global leadership, featuring captivating elements like butterfly walls and flower falls.
- Zone 4: Highlights India’s cultural legacy with replicas of the Brihadeshwar Temple and Manastambh.
- Zone 5: Displays the natural beauty of India with attractions like Hornbill sculptures and Flower Valley.
- Zone 6: Symbolizes India’s forward-looking aspirations, including displays on Hosting the Olympics 2036 and Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
Interactive and Eco-Friendly Features
Visitors can enhance their experience through audio guides accessible via QR codes placed across the venue. A souvenir shop offers memorabilia, while the nursery, stalls, and food counters remain crowd favorites.
Collaborative Effort for Public Engagement
In response to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s recommendations during his visit last year, this year’s show emphasizes public participation. The event has brought together corporate and government entities to foster a shared commitment to sustainability and biodiversity.
