Panchajanya: DAV Public School Kalinga Nagar, Bhubaneswar celebrated its annual day “PANCHAJANYA” amidst great zest, enthusiasm and jubilation with a distinct spark given to the occasion to mark its glorious journey so far. Prof. (Dr.) Karuna Kar Nanda, Director, Institute of Physics, Bhubaneswar   was the Chief Guest on the occasion.

In the formal meeting organized in this connection, Chairman of the school Sj Madan Mohan Panda delivered the welcome address which recounted the long struggle that the school had to pass through in order to reach its present stature while Principal Mr Balaram Mohapatra presented the annual report that echoed with the glorious achievements of the students in different spheres highlighting the glorious trajectory of the school from its humble beginning to its majestic presence till date.

In his address to the audience, the chief guest emphasised on the important role played by school in general and DAV institutions in particular in providing quality education to students and for their upliftment in all spheres of excellence. On this occasion, the chief guest and other dignitaries felicitated the meritorious students as well as their parents for their contribution. Mr. Tapan Kumar Panda and Mrs.Swagatika Panda, parents of  Priyansu Panda were awarded ‘Parents of the Year Award’. Miss Abha Priyadarshini and Miss Srilagna Rath bagged the Medha Award for the session while Miss Snehansu Suvra Miss Pyosmi Sahoo the Best All-Rounders of classes XII and Xfor the session 2023-24 were honoured with ‘J.P. Memorial Award and Premananda Mangarajaward respectively.

It was followed by a colourful cultural extravaganza meticulously presented by more than 750students from L.K.G to XII. The dignitaries present on the occasion includes,Asst. Regional Officer cum Principal of DAV, Unit-8 and Manager of the School Mrs Ipsita Das, Asst. Reginal Officer-cum Principal DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur Dr Sujata Sahoo,Principals of DAV Public schools of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, Members of PTCC and School Managing Committee.The celebration was a great success and this was made possible by the whole-hearted support and co-operation of all the   students and staff members.
