Raksha Bandhan: A rakhi may be small, but the love and memories tied to it can travel miles. This Raksha Bandhan, the Indian Postal Department is adding a colourful twist to the traditional thread of love with a special Rakhi Gift Box, packed with festive keepsakes and affection.
To make the auspicious occasion of Raksha Bandhan even more special, the Chhattisgarh Postal Circle of the Department of Posts, Government of India, has introduced a unique and premium “Rakhi Special Gift Box” to celebrate the precious bond between brothers and sisters.
Designed with the message- “Anmol Tohfa, Anmol Rishte Ke Liye”, the gift box aims to add to the festive joy. For the convenience of the general public, the special gift box is available for sale at nearby post offices at an affordable price of Rs 520.
The box has been specially designed for the younger generation, with colourful contents and festive packaging. Priced at Rs 520, the box includes two special rakhis, Akshat-Kumkum, a badge, a fridge magnet, a key chain and three picture postcards.
The hamper went on sale through dedicated counters on Tuesday, and officials at the Raipur Post Office said it has already received an encouraging response.
Akbar Khan, Deputy Post Master, Raipur GPO, said, “In this box, you get such a wonderful collection of items. It has two special rakhis, Akshat, Kumkum, a fridge magnet, a sticker, three picture postcards, and a key chain. You get all these things in this box, and the response has also been very good. It was launched yesterday, and as of today, we have sold around 40 boxes.”
With Raksha Bandhan just days away, sisters looking to send more than just a rakhi to their brothers can turn to their local post office, where the colourful box is ready to carry festive warmth, keepsakes and a little extra affection. Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated on August 28 this year.
