Mumbai: Actors tend to have a very busy and a hectic schedule. So when they get a break, they decide to make the most of it. Prem Bandhan actor Monika Khanna also recently got a break from her Dangal TV show’s busy shooting schedule and decided to spend the day with kids at a small NGO based in Shahapur.
Talking about her experience, Monika said, “I visited a small NGO that takes care of kids who are deaf and mute. And my experience there was amazing. The kids were so adorable, they were curious and happy and very excited with the little art and craft they got to do. The place didn’t have fans and only a couple of teachers were around to take care of them. But they enjoy life with the basic necessities and are very grateful for their everyday life.”
She further added on what she takes back from the experience and said, “I feel sometimes in life we need to find some time and spend it with people who are special in their own way. At times, we have so many expectations and wishes from our life that we forget how blessed we are. But after meeting them I realized how grateful we should be for our lives, the lifestyle we can afford, the facilities we enjoy and the experiences we get to live through. I was mesmerized with the energy I got. Yes, we have a busy schedule but we should visit such places often.”
Indeed, we should be very grateful for all that we are blessed with.
