Bisleri and IHCL Goa
Bisleri and IHCL Goa : In a significant move toward sustainability and community welfare, IHCL’s Goa resorts have joined hands with Bisleri International for the innovative ‘Bench of Dreams’ project. This partnership is in line with IHCL’s Paathya framework, which focuses on sustainability, social impact, and enriching the experiences of both guests and the broader community.

A Commitment to Sustainability

The collaboration between IHCL, Goa, and Bisleri International reflects a shared vision of promoting a sustainable future. The ‘Bench of Dreams’ project involves the creation and installation of benches made from recycled plastic, highlighting a commitment to reducing plastic waste and making a positive impact on the community. These benches serve as both a symbol of environmental responsibility and functional additions for guests at Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa and Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa.

Ranjit Phillipose, Senior Vice President of Operations in Goa, expressed, “Sustainability is at the heart of IHCL’s Paathya initiatives, and our collaboration with Bisleri International exemplifies our dedication to creating tangible change. Through the ‘Bench of Dreams’ project, we aim to inspire individuals and organizations to think creatively about recycling and join us in shaping a greener tomorrow.”

Angelo George, CEO of Bisleri International, added, “We are proud to partner with IHCL on this initiative. The ‘Bench of Dreams’ project showcases our commitment to closing the loop in plastic waste management and demonstrates how innovative solutions can foster sustainable development and a circular economy. We invite all stakeholders, guests, and residents to embark on this transformative journey with us. Together, we aim to create a future where sustainability is embedded in everyday life.”

Bisleri – Bench of Dreams

Made entirely from recycled plastic bottle caps, the benches symbolize hope, responsibility, and collective progress. The backdrops of these benches are painted by Mouth Food and Paint Artist (MFPA), adding an aesthetic dimension to the initiative. This project combines Bisleri International’s expertise in plastic recycling with IHCL Goa’s commitment to sustainable practices, resulting in a product that is both eco-friendly and community-oriented. By strategically placing these benches at key locations across Taj Holiday Village Resort & Spa and Taj Fort Aguada Resort & Spa, the initiative not only provides functional seating but also raises awareness among guests and staff about the importance of recycling and reducing environmental impact.
