Konark Festival 2025: The much-awaited International Konark Festival will begin today at 6 PM at the Muktakash Rangamanch near the iconic Konark Sun Temple. The five-day cultural celebration is being jointly organised by the State Tourism Department and the Culture Department, continuing a long-standing tradition of showcasing India’s classical heritage.
Chief Minister Mohan Majhi will inaugurate the festival by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
The festival will present major Indian classical dance forms over the next five days, including Odissi, Kuchipudi, Bharatanatyam, Kathakali and Kathak performed by renowned artistes of India. Audiences will experience enchanting performances set against the majestic backdrop of the Sun Temple.
The Konark Festival remains one of Odisha’s most significant cultural events, drawing art lovers from across the country and abroad.
