PM Modi Visits Jeddah

PM Modi Visits Jeddah: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday embarked on a two-day State visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at the invitation of Crown Prince and Prime Minister, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The visit aims to deepen the historic and strategic ties between India and Saudi Arabia, which have witnessed substantial growth across key sectors such as defence, trade, investment, energy, and people-to-people exchanges.

“This will be my third visit to Saudi Arabia in the past decade and my first to the historic city of Jeddah,” said Prime Minister Modi prior to his departure. He also highlighted his participation in the second meeting of the Strategic Partnership Council, building on the momentum of Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s State visit to India in 2023.

The Prime Minister is also scheduled to engage with the Indian diaspora in Saudi Arabia, describing them as a “living bridge” between the two nations. “They continue to contribute immensely to strengthening our cultural and human ties,” he added.

The visit is expected to further bolster bilateral cooperation and promote regional peace, prosperity, and stability.
