Utkal Dibas in Tanzania: Utkal Dibas, also known as Odisha Dibas, is celebrated not only in Odisha or India but also in various corners of the world. Similarly, Odias residing in Tanzania celebrated this day with great enthusiasm. The event was organized through the joint efforts of the Indian High Commission in Tanzania and the Tanzania Odia Samaj.
This celebration took place in the city of Dar es Salaam, where around 150 Odias participated. Shri Lakshya Anand, head of the Political Wing at the Indian High Commission, attended as the chief guest. During the event, Odia artists from Tanzania showcased Odisha’s traditional dance and music performances.
