New Delhi: The government today said, over eighty-one lakh women beneficiaries have been provided guarantees for loan under Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) till 28th of February this year. This is the scheme for MSMEs, businesses, MUDRA borrowers and individuals.
In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani said, the government has taken several initiatives to support and protect the interest of women and other entrepreneurs through stimulus given under Aatmanirbhar Bharat Packages to combat the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country. She said, the packages comprise of schemes for various sectors of the economy and also schemes having impact across sectors.
