India reports over 27,000 new COVID-19 cases, Omicron tally reaches 1,525

New Delhi: A total of one thousand 525 cases of Omicron variant of Covid-19 have been reported so far in the country. Out of these cases, 560 patients have already recovered. Maximum number of 460 cases have been reported from Maharashtra followed by Delhi with 351 cases. Omicron cases have been reported from 23 States and Union Territories.

Health and Family Welfare Ministry today said, over 145 crore 44 lakh doses of COVID vaccines have been administered in the country under the nationwide vaccination drive. The Ministry said, more than 25 lakh 75 thousand Covid vaccine doses were administered in the last 24 hours. Over nine thousand Covid patients have recovered during the last 24 hours and the national recovery rate stands at 98.27 percent.

The country has reported over 27 thousand new Covid cases in the last 24 hours. Currently, India’s active caseload is over one lakh 22 thousand. The Ministry said, more than 68 crore COVID-19 tests have been conducted so far.
