Karnataka Assembly Elections: The 26 km long mega roadshow by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bengaluru today, ahead of Karnataka Assembly elections, drew a large gathering throughout the route.

The Bengaluru Members of Parliament P C Mohan and Tejasvi Surya accompanied the Prime Minister. It started from Someshwara Sabha Bhavan in J P Nagar at 10.00 am and reached Gokak movement park in Malleshwaram in the afternoon.

It was a rare sight in Bengaluru today when the Prime Minister took a 26 km long road show. People had started gathering on either side of the road from 7.00 am onwards. Throughout the route, they greeted the Prime Minister, who in turn waived at them.

They showered flowers and chanted Bharat Mata Ki Jai and Modi Modi. Yakshagana dancers, classical dancers, and folk artists with drums performed during the show. A point to note was that people displayed Bajrangi flags during the roadshow.

Congress senior leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjuna Kharge too will be campaigning in North Karnataka today afternoon. The JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda will be campaigning in Sidlaghatta, Maddur and Mandya today.
