LokSabha Elections 7th Phase: With only three days left before the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha Elections, political leaders are intensifying their efforts to attract voters. Despite challenging weather conditions, leaders from all major parties are traveling to various constituencies to campaign.
In Uttar Pradesh, senior BJP leader Amit Shah on Monday held public meetings in Kushinagar, Salempur, and Chandauli. He emphasized that this election is crucial for the country’s development and the welfare of the poor. BJP National President J.P. Nadda also addressed gatherings in Varanasi, while State Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke to crowds in Ballia, Robertsganj, Ghosi, and Varanasi. Adityanath highlighted the significant progress India has made under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership since 2014.
Meanwhile, Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav campaigned in Ghazipur and Chandauli. He accused the BJP and BSP of secretly collaborating.
The final phase in Uttar Pradesh will see voting on 13 seats on June 1.
In Bihar, leaders from the NDA and Grand Alliance stepped up their campaigns. Voting will take place in 8 constituencies on June 1st. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi held rallies in Patna Sahib, Pataliputra, and Arrah. RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav campaigned in Jehanabad, Paliganj, Jagdishpur, and Bihta.
JD(U) President and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar led a roadshow in Hilsa, claiming his government will create 10 lakh government jobs by next year. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary also addressed rallies, criticizing the Congress for not eliminating poverty despite being in power for fifty-five years.
Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi campaigned in Chamba and Shahpur in the Kangra parliamentary area. She spoke about inflation, farmer distress, and rising unemployment, promoting the Mahalakshmi Scheme to empower women from poor families.
In Odisha, BJD leader and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik addressed a public meeting in Kendrapara Lok Sabha constituency. Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh assured that the current reservation process would continue. He addressed supporters via mobile in Udhwa block, Sahebganj district, after inclement weather prevented his helicopter from landing.
