A Chennai bound Indigo flight from Guwahati had made an emergency landing at the Biju Patnaik International airport on Saturday morning as a baby on board fell sick.  Which was a compelling reason for the landing where the baby was given immediate medical attention at the airport.

(UNI) The Board of Directors of Datamatics Global Services Limited (DGSL), and Lumina Datamatics Limited in their respective board meetings, approved a proposal to merge the two Companies into DGSL.
The merged Company would then be vertically split into two Companies, namely, Datamatics Global Services Ltd. and LDR E-Retail Ltd. Thus, the shareholders of DGSL will have an identical shareholding pattern in both DGSL and LDR E-Retail Ltd.,company said in afiling with BSE.
The latter will be renamed as Lumina Datamatics Limited. The scheme is subject to regulatory approvals and proposes an appointed date of April 1, 2019.
The board was of the view that the business of two companies serve completely different market segments and have different offerings.
The de-merger will allow the managements of the each Company to focus and pursue growth strategies tailored specific for the segments they serve. The demerger will also give direct visibility of the opportunity and assets for both the companies which will further unlock value for the shareholders by way of separate listing.

The famous baby-care name Johnson & Johnson keeps facing problem over its product the powder. A probe had revealed that the baby powder from the reputed manufacturer has carcinogenic asbestos which is highly dangerous for the human health. This was brought to fore by a news agency , Reuters, the admixture make it so poisonous for babies and women also. Sad that the company knew it but did not prevent.

(UNI) The situation continued to be grim with more than 80 people undergoing treatment in various hospitals due to suspected food poisoning in which 11 people died yesterday.

The devotees who fell ill after partaking prasadam distributed after ground breaking ceremony and rituals at Maramma Temple at Sulwadi village in Hennur Taluk in Chamarajanagara District, were admitted to various hospitals in Mysuru and at Kollegal in Chamarajanagara District.

Those who died were identified as Papanna (70), Rachaiah (58), Shakthi Vel (40) Shantaraj (30), Gopiyamma (40), Anitha (12), Aannayappa (60), Shivu (30), Krishna Nayak (40), Doddamadiah (60) and Prithan (7) all of them from the various villages in Kollegal taluk of Chamarajanagara district.

(UNI) The Commerce and Industry Ministry is creating an action-oriented plan which will highlight specific sector level interventions to bolster India’s march towards becoming a USD 5 trillion economy before 2025.

The focussed plans will be on boosting services sector contribution to USD 3 trillion, manufacturing to USD 1 trillion and Agriculture to USD 1 trillion.

The Ministry has created a corpus of USD 1 billion to boost 12 champion sectors in services and it is working on releasing the New Industrial Policy keeping in mind the demands of the future.

Further, all efforts of both the Department of Commerce and Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion have been towards achieving the goal of India becoming USD 5 trillion economy.

Moscow, Dec 14 (UNI) Russia’s Aerospace Forces have detected and tracked over 980,000 foreign airborne objects near the Russian borders this year, Radio-Technical Troops of the Russian Aerospace Forces said.
In 2018, on-duty combat units of the Radio-Technical Troops detected and tracked over 980,000 foreign airborne objects. This includes about 3,000 foreign warplanes, with over 1,000 of them being reconnaissance planes, Russian news agency TASS reported on Friday.

(UNI) Three examinees were killed and seven injured when a truck hit a motorcycle and an auto rickshaw near Ram Bhawan under Ekangarsarai police station in Nalanda district today. Police said here that the truck which was travelling at a high speed hit the bike and the auto rickshaw after its driver lost control over the vehicle. Three motorcycle-borne youths were killed on the spot.

(UNI) IT major Infosys today announced the formation of a joint venture with Hitachi, Ltd., Panasonic Corporation and Pasona Inc.,strategically enhancing its presence in Japan.
Infosys will acquire 81 per cent of the shareholding in Hitachi Procurement Service Co., Ltd., Hitachi’s fully owned subsidiary that currently handles indirect materials purchasing functions for the Hitachi Group. Hitachi, Panasonic and Pasona will be minority shareholders of the entity, according to a release here on Friday.
