Pune, Oct 7 (UNI) Conditions are becoming favourable for the withdrawal of Southwest Monsoon from some parts of North-west India in next 3-4 days, predicted the Indian Meteorological Department in a bulletin here today. It further said that heavy rainfall is very likely to occur at isolated places in Jharkhand, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during next 24 hours.
Thunderstorm, accompanied with hail, is very likely at isolated tracts in Himachal Pradesh during the period. Thunderstorm, accompanied with lightning, is very likely at isolated divisions over Jammu & Kashmir, Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gujarat Region, Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada during the period.
Thunderstorm had occurred at a few spots over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during past 12 hours. They had also occurred at isolated zones over Assam, Meghalaya, east Rajasthan, West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Konkan, Goa, Rayalaseema, Kerala, Mahe and south Interior Karnataka during the period.
Rain or thundershowers had occurred at many locations in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Marathwada and north & south interior Karnataka during past 24 hours. They had also occurred at a few sites in Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Jammu & Kashmir, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharahstra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Kerala and Andaman & Nicobar Islands during the period.
Isolated nooks in Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Gujarat Region, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Tamil Nadu and coastal Karnataka also received showers during the period.The Southwest Monsoon was active over Gangetic West Bengal, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka during the period.
However, it was weaker over Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Tamil Nadu during the period. Dry weather prevailed over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Madhya Pradesh and Lakshadweep during the period.
