AITC, BSP condemn lathi charge on JNU students

All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) on Tuesday in Lok Sabha condemned the alleged lathi charge on students of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) who had staged protest over fee hike.

Raising the issue during the Zero Hour in the House, AITC member Saugata Roy made a reference about fee hike in JNU. He condemned the alleged lathi charge on the JNU students who were protesting against the fee hike on Monday in Delhi.

Earlier, during the Zero Hour, BSP member Kunwar Danish Ali also raised the same issue. The BSP member condemned the alleged lathi charge on the students of JNU who were protesting against the fee hike.

He demanded a high level probe into the matter. Hundreds of JNU students took to streets in the Capital on Monday to head towards Parliament House to press their demand of total roll back of the hostel fee hike. (UNI)
