BJD demands action on BJP for transmitting Modi’s speech

Ruling BJD has demanded strong action against the BJP for transmitting the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech at Bhawanipatna through bulk voicing message call in live format without pre-certification from Media Certification and monitoring committee.

A delegation of the BJD in a memorandum to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) yesterday alleged that the BJP used the campaigning content on phone today violating the section 21,2, 13 of the election commission guidelines.

It said election campaigning contents through mobile phone without pre-certification from Media Certifiction and monitoring committee violates the election commission guidelines.

The memorandum further said the speech of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Bhawanipatna in Kalahandi district was transmitted through bulk voicing message call in live format using a mobile number violating the guideline.

Anyone can call the number and hear the speech of Mr Modi, it said. Modi had yesterday addressed a Vijaya Sanklap Samavesh rally at Bhawanipatna during his second visit to the state within a week.
