JP’s national president Amit Shah and Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb have postponed their scheduled West Bengal’s visit on Thursday after the Calcutta High Court’s single bench on Wednesday denied BJP’s proposed maiden Rath Yatra from this district following West Bengal’s government apprehension that the rally might create communal tension in the border district and other parts of the state.
Sources here said Mr Shah is expected to hold a media conference at around 1300 hours in party’s headquarters in Delhi to tell the nation how the Mamata Banerjee led Trinamool Congress government ” undemocratic” stance not to allow the party’s ” save democracy rally” across the state.
