Former Joint Director of CBI VV Lakshminarayana joined the JanaSena party here on Sunday.
JanaSena party president and film actor turned politician K Pawan Kalyan admitted Lakshminaryana into the party by wrapping party scarp at a programme here on Sunday.
Mr Lakshminarayan, a Maharashtra cadre IPS officer, earned fame in Andhra Pradesh as he investigated the corruption cases against Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy as CBI Joint Director. However, Lakshminarayana later resigned to his job and is participating in social activities.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakshminarayana said that he feels happy to join the Janasena party which was launched by Pawan Kalyan to bring a change in the society and follow moral values in politics. “Let us go forward. Let us change the country. Let us show what is the Janasena party”, he said and thanked Pawan Kalyan for giving an opportunity to be part of Janasena party.
The CBI former Joint Director said that he would announce from where he would contest in the ensuing elections. Sri Krishnadevaraya University former vice-chancellor Rajagopal also joined the JanaSena party on Sunday.
JanaSena president Pawan Kalyan said that he had been dreaming to work with Lakshminarayana for a long time and his dream realized today. Mr Pawan Kalyan said that the Janasena party has aligned with CPI, CPI(M) and BSP and he would discuss with the leaders on the issue of seat sharing. (UNI)
