Global Skill Summit 2019: J’khand Govt to distribute appointment letters among 1 lakh youth

Ranchi, Jan 9 (UNI) In its endeavor to promote employability and entrepreneurship among the youth and to provide a focused platform to the concerned stakeholders from industry, government and key international trade representatives the state government in collaboration of the Jharkhand Skill Development Mission Society will be organizing the Global Skill Summit 2019 at Khelgaon tomorrow in which appointment letters will be distributed among one lakh youth.

The guest of honour of the function will be Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Dharmendra Pradhan while Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu will be the chief guest of the function. The event will also be addressed by Chief Minister Raghubar Das and Union Minister of State for Tribal Affairs Sudarshan Bhagat and Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha.

The event will also witness the participation of ambassadors from Republic of Azerbaijan, Socialist Republic of Vitenam and High Commissioners of Brunei and Mauritius while key industry leaders including Rajiv Talwar Director and CEO DLF LTD, R K Somany of HSIL, Lalit Aggarwal chairman V Mart Sandeep Marwah President AAFT and Ms Blossom Kocchar founder and chairperson of Aroma Magic will also grace the occasion.

PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) the national apex chamber is the Industry partner for the Global Skill Summit 2019. The previous edition of the Skill Summit was held on the occasion of the National Youth Day on January 12, 2018 in which appointment letters among more than 27,000 youth was distributed by the state government.

This year event will provide an opportunity to interact with the policy makers, skill providers, employers and though leaders from across the world as more than 15000 participants comprising of diplomats, government, industry, academia, training partners, sector skill councils, international organizations and skilled youth of the state will be participating in the summit.

Another key feature of this year’s Global Skill Summit is an industrial exhibition in which 30 stalls will be put up from the sector skill council and industry houses while two technical seminars including ‘Thought Leadership for Scale, Speed and Innovation for Future Skill readiness and ‘Integrating formal education in skill eco-system’ will also be held in the post lunch session. On the occasion many MoUs will also be inked.
