India’s star athlete and sprint queen Hima Das raced ahead to win her fourth gold in the women’s 200m race in the Tabor Athletics Meet at Czech Republic.
Hima clocked in 23.25 seconds fetching yellow metal at Czech Republic on Wednesday.
Another Indian VK Vismaya stood second with her season-best timing 23.43 seconds.
This was sprint queen’s fourth gold inside 15 days. Beginning her first race of the year, her timing in the 200m race recorded 23.56 seconds winning gold at the Poznan Athletics Grand Prix in Poland on July 2, second gold was bagged in the same event at the Kutno Athletics Meet, also in Poland, on July 7 clocking 23.97 seconds and third gold on July 13, at the Kladno Athletics Meet in the Czech Republic with a time of 23.43.
The World Championships qualifying time for 200m is 23.02 while it is 51.80 in 400m.
In men’s 400m, Muhammad Anas clinched gold with 45.40 seconds while compatriots Tom Noah Nirmal stood second with a season-best effort of 46.59. K S Jeevan had to settle with third spot with a timing 46.60 and M P Jabir came fourth recording 47.16 seconds.
On July 13 at Kladno, Anas had broken his own 400m national record to clinch a gold and qualify for the World Championships with 45.21 seconds.
The World Championships qualification time is 45.30 seconds in men’s 400m race.
