Jakarta, Jan 7 (UNI) A landslide that struck a village in Indonesia’s West Java province before the new year killed 31 people with two others still missing, officials on Monday said.
The bodies were recovered from the landslide in Sirnaresmi village, three others sustained injuries.
“The search and rescue team is intensifying its efforts to find the missing persons,” spokesperson for the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB) Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said.
“Out of 100 villagers affected by the landslide, 64 are safe and three were injured, while all 31 victims have been identified,” Nugroho said.
