Himachal Pradesh Governor Kalraj Mishra on Friday said whoever considers the country as ‘One Nation, One Symbol,’ will not oppose the abrogation of Article 370 from Kashmir.
Talking to mediapersons, Mr Mishra said here, “I became active in politics after being associated with RSS. Sangh’s chief slogan is, ‘One Nation, One Culture.’ These are the core elements of our organisation. The basic idea behind this was to establish it in the country. This is why we talk about ‘Akhand Bharat.’
He said in independent India, Section 370 gave a feeling of segregation. 35A was also a temporary section. Earlier, if any law was formulated in the Parliament, it was said apart from Jammu-Kashmir, it will be implemented everywhere in the country. There were separate laws in Jammu-Kashmir. That arrangement used to come in the way of ‘ek jan, ek rashtra’.
The Governor said the current leadership is worthy of praise because by abrogating Article 370 in Jammu-Kashmir, it gave the world a message that this country follows the idea of ‘one nation, one Constitution.’
Mr Mishra said some people are opposing the abrogation of Article 370 but the most disturbed is our neighbouring country Pakistan. At first, Pakistan cried upon Article 370 on the international stage but after it did not get any desired attention, it is making absurd statements to vent out its frustration.
Further, Mr Mishra said the abrogation of Article 370 has boosted the morale of the whole country and it has shown to the countries of the world that we are committed to the unity of our nation. (UNI)
