Mohajirs protest in New York showing Pak atrocities

Notwithstanding its duplicity and failed attempts to embarrass India on Kashmir, Pakistan was confronted with double whammy on Thursday here on the sidelines of UN General Assembly.

While its beleaguered Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi tried to ‘save’ himself from embarrassment and skipped Indian External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar’s speech at SAARC foreign ministers meet on the other hand, there were protests in New York about ‘atrocities’ in Karachi.

A former Karachi Mayor, Wasay Jalil, said – “Atrocities are being committed against Mohajirs, for decades in Karachi. The city has lost more than 25,000 lives and many have disappeared”.

“We want to apprise the world about this,” he said.

A number of vehicles and trucks were seen in New York carrying digital ads highlighting the atrocities against ‘minorities’ in Karachi.
