Biswabhushan Harichandan, the newly appointed Governor of Andhra Pradesh will take oath at 11:30 am on July 24.
AP High Court acting Chief Justice C Pravin Kumar will administer the oath to the new Governor at a ceremony to be held in the capital city of Amaravati.
An official statement here on Thursday said that Harichandan will visit the hill shrine Tirumala a day before the oath-ceremony. The State government has decided to convert the old irrigation office building, which is located in front of the Swaraj Maidan Rythu Bazaar here, as the Raj Bhavan.
Meanwhile,Mukesh Kumar Meena has been appointed as the Secretary to the new Governor by the state government.
Currently Meena is serving as the Secretary of the Tribal Welfare Department and will take additional charge as the Governor’s Secretary.
