Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today offered Araghya to the setting sun and inspected Chhath Ghats in the state capital. Before Mr Kumar along with state governor Fagu Chauhan embarked on inspection tour on a motorboat from Nasriganj in Danapur to Kangan Ghat in Patna City, Mr Kumar offered Araghya to the setting sun along with his family members in swimming pool at his official residence at 1, Anne Marg in the state capital.
Mr Kumar was also accompanied by union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, road construction minister Nand Kishore Yadav, JD (U) vice president Prashant Kishor, MLC Lalan Saraf, former Bihar chamber of commerce O P Sah, director general of police Gupteshwar Pandey, additional chief secretary (home) Amir Subhani, additional chief secretary Brajesh Mehrotra, principal secretary (finance) S. Siddharth, principal secretary to chief minister Chanchal Kumar, secretary (urban development) Anand Kishore and other senior officers.
