At least ten people were killed and 16 others injured in a fire that broke out in a train in Pakistan’s east Punjab province on Thursday. The blaze broke out when a gas canister used for cooking food exploded on Karachi-Rawalpindi Tezgam express at Liaqatpur near Rahim Yar Khan, Geo News reported. The fire destroyed three of the train’s carriages. Confirming the casualties, Mr Baqir Husain, the head of the district rescue service, said relief operations were underway. (UNI)
