Potable water crisis created plight for thousands of people

Ambassa (Tripura), Jan 08 (UNI) Crisis of potable water has created plight for thousands of people who are in demand of early remedy in the subdivision of Ambassa in the northern Tripura district of Dhalai here.
The habitat of West Balaram panchayat is a agriculture dominated area.
Almost 1,500 people live in the area.
As the ratio of iron is much in the water people cannot use the water from handpumps. One of the villagers identified as Ratan Pal has alleged, “Several years ago some water tanks have been constructed. A pipeline has also been layed. But nothing is in working condition now”. And repeated knocking to the officials are also bearing no result.
In this context, the local people are demanding early and strong action from the administration to resolve the issue.
