Religious interference big hurdle in population control: Giriraj Singh

Union Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Minister and firebrand BJP MP Giriraj Singh today created a political storm by saying religious interference was a big hurdle in population control.

Taking to his official Twitter account on World Population Day for making an indirect attack on a particular community for population explosion in the country, Mr Singh said, “Population explosion in India is disturbing social harmony and balance. Religious interference is also a reason related to unchecked population growth. Like in 1947, India is heading towards division on the basis of culture. Every political party should come forward to make laws regarding population control.”

Going further, Mr Singh posted a poster on his Twitter wall saying, “Save earth from population explosion. It is difficult for somebody to ponder over it by sitting before his computer in a room of any house and still if care is taken of several issues, population growth rate could perhaps be reduced”.
