Russia is more interested in building a station on the surface of the Moon rather than on its orbit, Russian State Space Corporation Roscosmos chief Dmitry Rogozin told reporters. “We are mostly focused on building a national, or better international, research base [on the Moon surface] rather than the Gateway project on the orbit,” Rogozin said.
