Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Monday met the Delhi Congress working presidents to discuss the possibility of having an alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi for the Lok Sabha polls.
The working presidents of the DPCC, including Haroon Yusuf, Rajesh Lilothia, Devendra Yadav and other leaders, met Mr Gandhi to discuss the matter.
This meeting follows speculations whether the two parties will enter an alliance for the seven seats in Delhi for the LS polls or not. There have been repeated denials over it by leaders of both the parties.
As per party sources, the final decision on the matter will be out by the evening.
The decision has been left upon Mr Gandhi, a party source said.
Former Delhi CM and DPCC president Sheila Dikshit has been against the alliance. However, she said that the final decision will be taken by the party leadership.
