Sindhu enters round two, Saina bows out in opening round

New Delhi, Nov 13 (UNI) Indian star shuttler PV Sindhu eased to round two of the Hong Kong Open beating South Korean opponent while her compatriot Saina Nehwal was knocked out by her Chinese rival in the very first round of the tournament on Wednesday. Sindhu wrapped up the game in just 36 minutes beating South Korea’s Kim Ga Eun 21-15, 21-16 to enter the round two.

Earlier, in the day Saina lost 13-21, 20-22 to China’s Cai Yan Yan. The world no 9 is struggling with her form as this is her fifth defeat in the first round from her last six tournaments. This is Saina’s second loss in the first round against Cai Yan Yan of China. Saina thus trails 0-2 to Cai Yan Yan in the overall head-to-head records.
