India’s ace shuttler P V Sindhu reached her first final of the year beating World no 3 Chen Yufei of China in the semi-finals of the Indonesia Open here on Saturday.
Olympic silver medallist Sindu gave a spectular performance to beat her opponent in straight sets 21-19, 21-10 finishing the game in 46 minutes.
Sindhu faces fourth seed Japan’s Akane Yamaguchi in the final on Sunday after removing world no 3 in the semi-final clash.
In first set, Sindhu’s confidence was low as Chinese gained advantage and continued to dominate leading 18-14, but then Indian shuttler put up a spirited fight fetching four back-to-back points levelling the score and managed to steal the first game 21-19.
In the second game, Sindhu was at her best giving no chance to her opponent and finally ended the match with 21-10.
