Tejaswi exhorts people not to allow MPs to enter their constituencies

Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Yadav today urged people not to allow MPs from backward castes and Dalit community for their failure to demand for enhancement in the reservation quota for majority section of the society.

RJD leader Mr Yadav in his official Twitter account while addressing to people said, “If your MP is backward or Dalit, do not allow him to enter into your constituencies as they have not demanded for increasing reservation quota for you and majority section of the society. Such coward and meek people are not fit to become your MPs”.

The Leader of Opposition said, “I am not opposed to reservation for upper castes poor but he is opposing the manner in which related law is being implemented”.

He said, no study was conducted prior to amendment in the constitution for providing 10 per cent reservation to upper castes poor, no survey was conducted and also no commission was constituted for the purpose. The Centre got constitution amendment bill passed in a hurry, he said alleging the reservation system enforced in this way would also meet the fate of demonetisation.

On Supreme Court`s scathing remarks against Bihar government over Mufaffarpur`s short stay home sexual exploitation case, Mr Yadav said, “Chief Minister Nitish Kumar`s conscience drowned in Ganga river and now lost in Bay of Bengal. Chief Minister is keeping silence despite such adverse comments by Supreme Court,” he added.(UNI)
