CM flags off 84 basic life support ambulances

BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off 84 numbers of Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances on virtual mode on Friday.

Carrying 108 number, these ambulances will serve at all corners of the state, officials informed.

Wishing a happy and prosperous New Year to all, the Chief Minister said that his government is committed to improve the health services and this objective is a focus of the Five T initiatives and Mo Sarkar.

There is already a significant improvement in the functioning of health centres and hospitals in the state, he stated and advised the officials to create new benchmarks in the standard of medical services.

He also advised to train the ambulance staff to handle the patients and relatives empathetically.

The CM also stressed on use of technology for intensive monitoring of service parameters of ambulance services.

Minister for Health & Family Welfare Naba Das welcomed the Chief Minister. Additional Chief Secretary, Health PK Mohapatra briefed about the ambulance services.

Secretary to CM (5T) V K Pandian moderated the programme while Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra, Development Commissioner PK Jena and other senior officers were present.
