BHUBANESWAR: The state government has announced it mandatory for the pillion riders of two-wheelers to wear helmets commencing on January 1 across the state.
The State Transport Department (STA) has warned the people that driving license of the rider will be suspended if the pillion rider is found without a helmet.
The state Government has announced strict traffic rules under the New MV Act last year in order to ensure better road safety, Transport Minister Padmanabha Behera stated.
