BHUBANESWAR: On assuming the charge of Naval Officer-in-Charge (NOIC) of Odisha and Commanding Officer of INS Chilika, Commodore N P Pradeep called on Governor Ganeshi Lal at the Raj Bhawan here on Thursday.
During the courtesy call, the Governor was appraised on various training and operational activities undertaken at INS Chilika and NOIC respectively, official sources said.
Commodore Pradeep also discussed the various initiatives to be undertaken to tackle the increasing challenges of coastal defence, security and safety at sea.
The discussion was focused on strengthening the maritime domain of coastal Odisha in all facets, the sources added.
