Odia Museum in Deogarh: Ganesh Puja is a symbol of social, religious and cultural harmony, said Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan while participating in the Ganesh Puja organized at various places in Deogarh on Wednesday.

Shri Pradhan participated in the 76th Public Ganesh Mela organized by the District Business Association in Deogarh and visited various puja mandap. While extending greetings on the occasion of ‘Shri Ganesh Chaturthi’, the Union Minister said that Ganesh Puja is a special attraction of social harmony and temporal progress. There is special interest and enthusiasm among the people about Ganesh Puja in Deogarh.

A spiritual atmosphere has been created everywhere. Shri Pradhan thanked all the members of the puja committee for organizing the tradition of Shri Ganesh Puja in an attractive manner for a long time. He prayed that the blessings of Lord Shri Ganesh, the remover of obstacles, may bring happiness, joy and prosperity in everyone\’s lives.

Shri Pradhan further said that on April 1, 1936, Odisha was formed as a separate state as a linguistic state. The contribution of Bamanda Raja Sir Basudev Sudhaldev towards shaping it is forever remembered. This is a reflection of his progressive visionary leadership. Due to his direct guidance in Odia literature, the prestige of Odisha increased.

A museum on Odia language, literature and culture should be established in Deogarh with everyone’s efforts. Along with this, there are many ancient temples in the district. Shri Pradhan has directed the district administration to focus on developing those temples towards leading the cultural and tourism development in Deogarh.
